What games really got you playing apart from World of Warcraft's crack like addiction?

I used to play Chaos on the old spectrum 48k for years and still play it every now and again on the emulator I have its such a brilliant game.

The original Counter-Strike was also pretty damn addictive. I saw that game destroy peoples lifes. My friend was that into it he has a ISDN line installed at home to get a better ping, what a nutter!

Ye counter-strike was quite an addiction but I think WC3 (mainly TFT) was the most addictive to me, besides wow ofc.

Any of the Comand and Conquers for me, though Tib Sun wasnt that good and Halo

I played Deus Ex multi player and liked it quite a bit. Stealth hacking type.
I've also played a few emulator games which I didn't put down for ages. Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh for gameboy.
Tetris was also quite fascinating...

Somehow I was always focused on a game, and then suddenly stop.
