Pain of Salvation, Ayreon, Rammstein, Diablo Swing Orchestra, After Forever, Nightwish, Mind's Eye,... those are some of my favorite bands.
I also play in a band myself that is set to release its second album in March, both in Europe and Japan:
Gwyllion (I'm the dude behind the keyboards).

I already figured that was the original intent of this thread

Practising Blackened by Metallica in Rock band on hard... having troubles with the solo guitar part (getting about 75-80 % of it now though
). And Rhythmbox is paused at Heartbreak Armageddon by Dragonforce. Oh, and Paled Empty Sphere
(clicky) came up now, absolutely love that song!

Listened to the demo's on your website, good stuff
Also really like Nightwish, Rammstein, Avantasia, etc... etc...

ATM i only listin to my own crap, as i need to improve and tweek a lot of the songs i have made so far
pretty annoying after a while tbh
Besdies that i listin to UGHH as many other styles realy don't get it on like that :p
TV and Radio give you for 99% crap music
Besides UGHH i still listin to orchestral
