gamb starts ....

euromillion lottery

this week the accumulated prize may reach up to 180millions of euros

there are 76.275.360 combinations (5 between 50numbers AND 2 between 9 stars)

which means that you for a bid of 2€ you may get 180, or 1€ for 90 millions

90millions is bigger than the possible combinations (76million)!!!

mathematicallys this week is better to play than not

imagine a dice with 76 sides, you bid one euro to each side, and if you win you will get 90 euros :P

Only works if there is no other winner, if you have to split the jackpot you're out 30 million euros.

A complete ticketspace buyout did work in one american state lottery though.

lol, shure the bank will lend me the money with this kind of businessplan...only problem is, what if I blow the money on beer on my way to the press shop? :)

It was tried in Ireland too quite a few years back. One of the biggest problems the group had iirc was the sheer logistics of buying all of those tickets.

Very roughly speaking...

1 person at 1 ticket machine. Assume you can submit 5 entries per ticket physical ticket. Say 30 seconds to process each ticket and doing it constantly for 10hrs. That would produce somewhere in the region of 6000 entries. Now repeat that ~12,000 times :) I presume the euro lottery is weekly? If so, you have 6 days in which to attempt it.

I guess tickets can be purchased online these days tho.
