Cloverfield

Just been to see this at the cinema after hearing mix reviews. I thought it was OK, some good moments but typical run of the mill disaster flick with the home made point of view.

There seems to be a run of these 'Blair Witch' style mockumentory films this year.

Though I am quite looking forward to Diary of the Dead.

Have you guys seen Cloverfield and if so what did you think?

I thought it was fantastic.

I think it was rather cool, and deserves a view on the big screen. It's pretty impressive considering it's (for Hollywood standards) low budget. The fact that the cast consists of rather unknown actors contributes to the movie atmosphere.

Overall I enjoyed this one more than I enjoyed for example "I am Legend".

Like "I am legend" I've found the end of it rather abrupt.

Cloverfield and No country for old men are also ending abrupt. Some kind of trend or something... but I liked them all.

its not an abrupt end, its just not a "normal hollywood" ending, i thought both films made you think with the endings
