3.2 patch news

Post by Cyberia » 27 Jun 2009 16:58

Will use this thread to accumulate 3.2 news.. Start with quite a surprising but nice one;
Patch 3.2 BOP Items Trade
A very nice feature was added to the game with the latest PTR patch, according to the interface files and a few in-game tests you can now trade BOP items with members of your raid who participated in the kill. This change will probably considerably lower the amount of GM petitions each day.

* BIND_TRADE_TIME_REMAINING = "You may trade this item with players that were also eligible to loot this item for the next %s."; -- Time remaining to trade a bound item. Example: You may trade this item with players that were eligible to loot this item for the next 1 hour 30 minutes.

UI Strings are not necessarily an indication of what is coming next patch. But this is a welcome change if it actually gets through.
I do what I think is right. But I don't think that what I think is right can not be wrong.

two in one day ...
Patch 3.2 Raid Lockout Extension
A new feature has been introduced in this build, you can now extend your raid lockout to make them last one more week. This is probably very useful if your guild is trying to get a specific boss down and doesn't really need any other loot in the instance, you can just get one more weeks of tries without having to clean everything in the way.

Common Tokens
This new PTR build had its share of Tier 9 updates, the models for the Leather_ArgentHorde are available and we now have the prices for each piece. The biggest change here is the introduction of a common token for all armor parts, you can buy the Head/Hands/Chest/Legs/Shoulders of your set with a single item. (Example: Regalia of the Grand Conqueror)

Interesting move, I'd like them to make VOA and OS not have to wait a full week for a reset too!

In my experience people only want to raid on nights they get loot rather than progress. Im not saying this is everyone but if say we locked Ulduar for a second week, some of us would be happy to have many tries on Vezax and hopefully Yogg, but thats also another week without any epics being looted from the other bosses.

It adds a new problem for guild leaders to deal with.

447 MB of patch data is currently available for download from the Blizzard Background Downloader... the patch may be quite close, a few weeks only perhaps. It's probably good to start downloading already :)
