Money... WoW money that is! :)

Post by Avalong » 22 Aug 2009 03:45

Hey guys,

My character isn't exactly the richest guy in the world, I was wondering if you guys have any tips as to how I can make it.

My proffesions aren't exactly great, Mining 450, and Engineering 118. I know I should try to get Engi up, but I don't have the money to get it there, and grinding for mats would probably bore me to death. I've made a bank alt that I send as much money as I can too as often, but even though this helps me to save money and will get alot over time, I was wondering if you guys had any great money making schemes,

Thanks guys, Ava.

Well tbh...I dont rly look to make gold on my main char....as some profs give a nice boost for my char...think as a raider that more important then a gold making char.
But if you get Enchanting and juwelcrafting I know that makes a lot of gold and give you some nice boosts.

Or do like me I got 3 other high lvl chars who make gold for me :)
On Caleen I got Enchanting for the ring enchants and LW for bracer Enchant.
And best thing is not to buy anything from AH...just trade or grind it yourself....and sell anything you find on the way.
Also put all your gold on a bank char.....so you wont get tempted :P

Anyways....that's how I made lots of gold :)

No chance with that... Besides, Cy has about three times as much anyway.

I made quite a bit of money with daily quests. Not spending any of it helps.

hehe.. I was the one whispering from an alt Ava ;) anyways.. I got JC / inscribsion.. doesn't make too much gold, since I kinda have to buy all mats..
on my account I got all proffs lvl 400+ cept of BS mining and engi (engi 375, not bothered to lvl on the DK).

I would advise you to take inscribsion.. really good shoulder enchant.. and after putting money into the prof, you can get money out of it :)

what I do to make money fast, is just do quests. I don't spend any money on anything else cept op repairs. farming all mats for enchants and such myself.. barely sell them, since I have to buy em back later then. this way I don't make a lot money, but don't need a lot money either..

Asmo is making money out of mining.. he simply goes mining the early mornings when I gotta work (he starts farming around 5;15 server time). he prospects it on my char and sells most of the gems (mainly after cutting them).

I still really think the proffs should be used for the special enchants and such after all..

I passed a wealth milestone a few days back... thanks to Jewelcrafting, almost all of it. I have enchanting too but don't make money with it.

I notice you have mining - there are guides out there with the best routes to take to make the most out of it :) but of course... it may be boring and there can always be competition. Dailies are also a very real way to make money and are perhaps less boring (and there's not as much danger from competition either).
In the other case I suppose you'll need to drop Engineering and get one of the professions mentioned in this thread... :)

Very appreciated guys! :)

I'm now 5 minutes from logging and learning Inscription, and grinding the mats for it! :)
I'm also loving the Hodir dailies now, found them quite enjoyable after a while, and the argent ones, well, let's just say I did them (:

Sent about 300g to a bank alt so I'm very happy, might not seem much you to rich folk, but to me, it's probably the most I've had since I somehow managed to save 5k for my epic flyer, although I did that by sending money to my brother in law so I definately couldn't spend it :D

Thanks ever so much guys! :)

Wouldnt it be better to take JC if you already have mining? Aswell as the Herbing perk is lame, while the mining gives stamina, which may not be awesome, but its bettter than the HoT...
