As the title says the background downloader is active and is 1.74 Gb so will take a while to get it all as its in the background so will be realy slow. Ok I know its 05:42 but i just cant sleep.

You know? The thing that downloads new content in the background whilst you're playing. It's got new stuff there, so it's likely only a few weeks until the pre expansion patch hits.

come on mindy wake up its better to pre-download than wait 20 hours to get it all the release day

and the download just gets bigger and bigger its now upto 5.15 Gb this is gonna be one hell of a patch some game aint even this big for the whole game never mind a patch

The 5.19 gigs were downloaded days ago. But now every time I quit the game the background downloader starts up again and spends a few hours "checking" the files it's already got...
Guess it's impatient for the patch too, and has nothing better to do?

another 700 ish Mb was added so theres 3 parts to the patch so far and theres probably gonna be more as well
