New things to learn means more fun. There's just a few things I don't like.

I think I'll probably end up liking them. It's just with all the changes and breaking my mods, there's too much to set-up again and to learn. Don't think my brain can cope right now with having to learn how to play WoW again.

Mabe thats the plan, with no content update the re-learning is a distraction for the next two month until Cataclysm hits.

That is exactly the plan.MindyMcfly wrote:Mabe thats the plan, with no content update the re-learning is a distraction for the next two month until Cataclysm hits.
Uh... yeah? You didn't know that Int is the new SP?MindyMcfly wrote:All my spell power gems have changed to Intellect.... *sigh
That's not a joke, honestly. Look at the stats on your character screen and see where your spell damage is coming from.
There's other classes who have been hit a lot harder, TBH.

I voted Yes, just to give Blizzard a pat on the back and also because I'm sure lots of people are voting somewhat negatively although they will end up liking it.
Like Noolah says,

Like Noolah says,
There are always issues when huge patches are released, but they will be straightened out. There is only one tendency I don't like that much, and it's that everything in the game is being made into, as my girlfriend calls it, "WoW for kids". Overexplained and like a play toolbox etc. But, it's just a somewhat different game then, and there's also something to say for it of course; in the past many things were too unclear ingame, and you actually -needed- theorycraft websites to know or get some things.Noolah wrote:I think I'll probably end up liking them.

Re: Do you like the Cataclysm changes?
Voted mostly. I have not yet used heroic strike now its an instant attack and now requires an extra button to press. That would make it the 13th button I would have to regularly press as part of the regular tanking routine and I don't have the space around my play area for it.
Using keys 1-6, Q, E, F1-F4. I suppose I could bind it to F5 but its a long stretch.
Other than than that I like the changes, the spell effects are very nice, and some of the protection talents are good too.

Re: Do you like the Cataclysm changes?
The main thing I don't like is the reduction of options and the reduction of formulas. I like theory crafting, but currently, everything is so much in flux, that trying to derive formulas is futile. :(
I do what I think is right. But I don't think that what I think is right can not be wrong.

Re: Do you like the Cataclysm changes?
after a run in ulduar as healer: i am really not happy. paladins have been screwed properly in all form and shape:/ most useless class ever. dps has been nerfed, healers are useless absolutely. they wanted to make them more raid healing but ended up crap as raid healing as other classes hots/raidhealing healing as much as my single 2 sec cast spell. so useless as tank healer as most healing spell has been reduced amount and much slower than hots, and big heal is very slow anyway.
meh meh meh
we shone like a good aoe tank, but that has been nerfed also to the point where "why to take a paladin"

Re: Do you like the Cataclysm changes?
So far i am likeing everything. i have played my Mage , Druid and Hunter so far. The hunter was a bit of a pain to get a spec done at first but I think its sorted now. My mage has gone fire and arcane only played with fire and that was so much better than it was. As for the druid apart from loosing loads of haste and having over 30% hit its all good and the new starsurge is so awesome.

Locks overall have had an easy ride, even more so when we get our burst DPS spell at lvl 81.
Paladin's I have to agree have had the biggest nerf

Pala's nerfed... I don't believe it... I mean, Blizzard never nerfs paladins does it....
While part of me is missing warcraft, and cata... overall I think I'm glad I'm managing to stay away...
