Cataclysm - Digital Download or Boxed?
Just wondering who was downloading their version of Cataclysm or going to wait for the boxed version?
Im torn between the two, but thinking digital makes more sence.

I preordered it from a shop, no particular reason.
I do what I think is right. But I don't think that what I think is right can not be wrong.

Boxed Collector's Edition pre-ordered. In fact I have one ordered from Game, Play and Amazon, just to make sure I get one. If I get all three...oh well. :p

I get them for the pets. You can't put a price on them (although I am sure Dust especially will disagree with me).MindyMcfly wrote:I love my wow, but the special editions... way too expensive.

Boxed .. ordered from shopto.net who guarantee release day delivery and are £6 cheaper than the blizzard store. I resent paying more for a digital copy.

It really doesnt make sense that digital download costs more then boxes, unless:
- they rented some servers to cope with the massive download, and the players are paying a bit.
- they dont want everybody to download because their servers cant handle it, so by raising the cost they convince most people to buy the box.
I personally want the box. I wanna have it in my hand and on my desk
I ordered mine in game mania, and can get it from midnight. Should be installed by when the servers go online, 3AM.
Worked on every expansion.

Re: Cataclysm - Digital Download or Boxed?
You'll probably find It's more expensive online because of some backlash from retailers who understandably want to have people buying the game from them. Putting a digi download at a more expensive price should keep the shops busy while quietening those moaning that its an online game and they want to download it.

Well, I think the digital version is much better. You just open the browser, do some clicks and it's over.
Now, if you order it, you must do the same thing as for the digital version, but in addition you must
- stay at home and wait for the package
- call the store, because those bitches don't deliver on time as promised
- if it arrives, open the package
- get the disc(s)
- insert the disc(s)
- install from the disc(s) (1000 hours)
- store the package somewhere
- move the package from place to place every time you "clean" the place
- in the end throw the package somewhere (maybe trash)
By the way, it was scientifically determined by the American and British scientists that the optical drives failures are 90000% higher when you try to install something you've been waiting for so long...
