Blizzard is gonna start auctioning old server blades that the realms used to run on:

You'll get a blade with a transparent top and the WoW logo on it, and a signature plaque from the dev team.
Turalyon is also on the list!

WoW started with 2000 server blades when it launched, in 2009 that was 13.500 already. Crazy amounts!

I wouldn't be surprised if some rich WoW addicts buy their realm blades for insane amounts, like 20k dollar.

How cool would that be to own the original server!

The server blades aren't that important... A part of the RAID of the Database Cluster on the other hand... :)

But as I thought they just sell it as collectors item as a blade server can't be used (not 100%) without its enclosure.

You're not supposed to use them. It's for hanging on your wall or something

It's was very unstable and completely out of balance, BUT it was very funny. Insane dps, and epics like crazy. Fun to play for a couple weeks, but after that it's death.

Real servers are way more fun +)

Let me try and explain it like you can visualize it.

i will tell you about super exp servers as the realism servers are lame clones of the real deal.
You enter wow and kill a wolf DING either you lvl up 5 lvls or more or be instant 85 now.
Then you still need to do all the class quests or you lack things, spells talents etc don't work like it supposed to (example) battle shout don't give AP so its useless other skills don't combine like they should or wont trigger.

Spell casting npcs dont cast spells but just melee you so don't do any dmg, same goes for bosses in instances or raids, they just stand there doing melee.

So basicly you walk in a world were half the npc don't move and dont cast spells and your char doesn't work like it supposed.
its totally crap.

I don't know if there are servers now where good IT nerds know how to code it all so it all works but when i tried it (liek 25 servers) it was all crap.
I also dont understand why ppl even bother playing this crap while there are a zillion free MMORPG 100x times better then this, either pay for wow or don't play it cause its like buying a Farrari without the engine.

Hope that did it for ya Mindy or you can always chance the server file to a private one and check it yourself it really only takes 5 min total to do it.
