General

- Flying mount bug in metazones seems to have been fixed.
- New NPCs at Blade's Edge Mountains. New Flight Paths added as well.
- New NPCs at Cosmowrench (Netherstorm).
- Exp needed to level lessened... ex. 64-65 was 780k, is now 680k.
- Tiers5 armor sets vendor added, opposite t4 vendor.
- Flying over the opposite faction's city in Hellfire applies a debuff called Guard's Mark. It summons a flying guard who casts Unstable Concoction.
- Female Bloodelves weapons size decreased.
- Heroic keys taken up from Neutral to Revered requirement.
- Quests that were marked (Elite) are now marked (Group). Some of them have group size recommendations.
- Scryer Tabard added at Exalted to the Vendor in shattrath (Aldor aswell), the Scryer tabard is that stylized phoenix they have all over.
- World map icon changed.
- Some quests were finished or had rewards added such as the Arcatraz key quest. No NPC's in Blades Edge to check if there are new quests in Shadowmoon.
- New Raid zones added to LFG(Grull's, Tempest Keep, Coilfang, Mag's lair, Hyjal).
- Throne of Kil'Jaeden is populated with mobs.
- skettis area increased to level 70-72
- serveral horde towns got air defense now.
- New rep items added to Cenarion Expedition vendor.
- Flying mounts now have added physics, running off an edge will not make you fly, you will fall and take damage normally. Pressing space is required to begin flying.

Quests

- A lot of new quests at Blade's Edge Mountains (at Evergrove for example)
- New quest at Cosmowrench: "Bloody Imp-ossible!"
- New quest at Shadowmoon Village: "Find the Deserter"
- New(?) quest at Area 52: "Breaking down Netherock"
- Fixed quest at Proectorate Watch Point: "Dimensius the All-Devouring"
- Fixed quest at Shattrah: "City of Light". Leads to several follow-up quests for heroic mode dungeons.
- The Quest "The Path of Conquest" in Shadowmoon has been fixed
At least two new quest-giving NPCs around Sanctum of the Stars (Scyers) in Shadowmoon. Aldor may have new ones as well.


Items

- Renataki's Charm of Beasts no longer includes arcane shot, only aimed, multi, and volley. (pic: http://i14.tinypic.com/48r0yg9.jpg)
- Rune of Metamorphosis changed from 100% cost reduction to flat 550 mana reduction.
- Tempest Keep items raised to level 70 required. Old lv68-required items slightly buffed.
- Idol of Ferocity changed from -3 energy to +20dmg.
- Idol of Brutality changed from -3 rage to +50 Damage.
- Lifegiving gem changes Image
- fetish of the sandreaver nerfed from 70% to 50%.
- eye of diminuition nerfed from 35% to 25%.
- New Burrower's Shell: Reduces damage from each attack by 68, absorbs up to 1150 damage, lasts 20 seconds
- riding crop no longer has the activated sprint.
- Lightning Capacitor (Karazhan trinket drop) does 900-1025 dmg after 3x applications now (instead of 375-425 with 5x).
- Libram of souls redeemed from big bad wolf was changed from Equip: Increases healing done by Flash of Light by up to 96(I think), to Increases the benefit of your Flash of Light and Holy Light spells recieve from blessing of light by 96.
- The Black book (bwl trinket) changed: Use: Empowers your pet, increasing its spell damage by 200, its attack power by 325, and its armor by 1600 for 30 sec. This spell will only affect an Imp, Succubus, Voidwalker, Felhunter, or Felguard. (Cooldown: 5 minutes)
- Venomous Totem changed to: Use: Increases the damage dealt by instant Poison by 65 and the periodic damage dealt by Deadly Poison for 22 for 20 sec.
- The shaman's Natural Alignment Crystal was nerfed to: Use: Increases spell damage and healing by up to 250, and increases mana cost of spells by 20% for 20sec.
- Renataki Charm of Trickery changed (scales with lvl now, 40 energy at lvl 70): Image

Professions

- Added Flask recipes to some faction rewards. ie. Flask of Titans to Sha'tar, Flask of Chromatic Resistance to Lower City etc.
- Tailoring specialist vendors are in Trade area of Lower City.
- Alchemy specializations are in, at least Master of Elixirs. Quest obtained from the grand master alchemist in lower city, Shattrath.
- Elixir of Major Agility is now: Use: Increases your Agility by 35 and your critical strike rating by 20 for 1 hour.
- Creating a Primal Mooncloth will give you a 1hr Buff with 12 health / mana per 5sec.
- Cooldown on creating Primal Mooncloth is 4 days.
- Not sharing Cooldown with Spell-/Shadowcloth.
- Primal Mooncloth requires a Moonwell (Cenarion Refuge)
- Spellcloth requires Netherstorm
- Shadowcloth requires the Altar of Shadows (Shadowmoon Valley)


UI

- When you have actionbar lock enabled in the UI (Buttons only move around when you hold shift, too.) it appears that you can no longer move a button by shift+clicking; you must shift+drag it.
- Raids now have tabs to the side that show how many of each class there is.

Druid

- Tree of life changes: Image
- Dire Bear form AP bonus is now +210. HP Bonus is now 25% (down from 40%)
- Tranquility now heals roughly 5x as much (almost 1600 every 2 sec for 8 seconds), but with 10 minute cooldown.
- Rune of Metamorphosis changed from 100% cost reduction to flat 550 mana reduction.
- Idol of Ferocity changed from -3 energy to +20dmg.
- Stormrage Armor Set 3 part bonus is now 20mp5 instead of 15% mana regen.

Hunter

- The Lvl70 Aimed Shot doesn't scale anymore with AP. Now it's a flat +870 damage.

Mage

- Mages get a new rank of Arcane Missiles(10) at level 69

Paladin

- Divine illumination lasts 15 seconds now.
- Libram of souls redeemed from big bad wolf was changed from Equip: Increases healing done by Flash of Light by up to 96(I think), to Increases the benefit of your Flash of Light and Holy Light spells recieve from blessing of light by 96.

Priest

- Transcendance Armor set 3pc was nerfed from 15% regen while casting to a hard Mp5.

Rogue

- Rogue talent Weapon Expertise changed to 2/2 increasing weapon skill of daggers/swords/fist weapons by 10.
- Suprise attacks dmg increased from 8% to 10%.
- Fixed Improved Sap. It is now correctly a 2 point talent.

Undocumented Changes on PTR 2.0.3


General

-Several classes have gotten updated changes to match current beta patches.
-The Map icon has a new, more browner, icon. No longer a Globe.
-Everlook Guards now level 67. (Possible for all steamwheel guards)
-Spirit Healers now appear on minimap while dead
-Player can now right click on thier portants to enable or disable PVP mode (PvE severs)
-New option for LFG tool: Heroic Dungeons
-All abilities have had their base mana cost reduced.
-Priest and Druid tier 2 bonus changed to "Restores 20 mana per 5 second" from "allows 15% of your mana to continue while casting"
-Epic Mount training cost reduced to 540g with honored discount.
-Noggenfogger is now on a 2 minute cooldown.
-New vendors selling level 70 pvp rewards added in Stormwind and Orgrimmar.
-Tauren Can now ride Black War Raptors, but not other Raptors
-You can now change Blacksmithing and Engineering Specializations through a gold cost.
-Snipers added to Gadgetzan rooftops. (Unknown if they are in other towns atm)
-Wyverns, bats, griffons, and hippogryps now make noices while in flight.
-New title "Scarab Lord" available to first opener of the AQ gates.
-Elite rare spawns now have a Silver Dragon around their portrait to show their correct status.
-Improved character stat (spirit now displays how much health and mana is recovered per tick)
-All Blackwing Liar Trinkets that used or Modified %s Have been reduced to flat numbers (Check thottbot/beta for the certian numbers.)

Battlegrounds

-Eye of the Storm battle master added.
Only one bracket, 61-70
No faction affiliated with this battle ground at the moment.

Rogue

-Shadowstep as 41 Talent Point (Cloak of Shadows trainable 4tw, I win button vs casters :D !)
-Imp Sap switched out with Elusiveness (pff)
-Imp backstab and imp SnD have switched places. (nerf!)
-Imp Sap is now a 2 point talent - 50%/100% (op!)
-Surprise attack is now 10% and finishing move can no longer be dodged
-Weapon expertise changed to +10 weapon skill. ( =/ )
-Combo points preserved on previous target if target is changed during combat. (Would be about BLEEP time that this actually works :) )
-Evasion (Rank 2) now trainable.
-Stleath Animation Fixed. (woohoo!)

Druid

-Bear gives 450% armor bonus and 25% HP
-Barkskin now usable while stunned and no longer contains a casting penalty, cooldown increased to 2 minutes.
-Several talents have had their costs reduced in the balance tree (Such as imp moonfire)
-Tranquilty changed.
Cooldown Increased back to 10 minutes (as such pre-1.8)
Now untalented heals for 1092 every second at max rank.
-Pounce no longer requires facing
-Mangle (cat) now includes a +30% dmg to shred.
-Natures Grasp USABLE in forms (To clear up confusion)
-Can now talk to NPCs while in forms.
-Tree of Life Aura Now only applies 25% of spirit as extra healing on party members.
-Mana cost of regrowth reduced to 720 mana at max rank. (Untalented)

Shaman

- Totemic Call added
- Rockbiter now increases specifically DPS
- Rockbitter and earthshock no longer cause additional threat.

Warriors

-Rampage at 20 rage Cost
-Slam no longer interrupted by damage.

Hunters

-Cost of Silencing shot also reduced (from 123 to 92).
-Pet Speed Normalized. All Pets have a 2.0 attack Speed.
-Several Pet Abilities' Icon have changed.
-Mana cost of Mutli-Shot Reduced (To Pre-2.0.1 costs)
-No Casting Animation on Hunters mark.
-Pet Revival now has a "whoooise light from above" animation at its end.

Warlocks

-Soullink now has 20% of dmg split with pet, damage incrased to 5%
-Shadowfury is now on a 20 second cooldown. (Unleash the fury! Best talent evah!)
-Infernals are no longer enslaved when first summoned (Possible bug, Tooltip does not reflect the
change) ( =/ )
-arena Preparation Buff in The arenas Now Remove soul shard costs of spells and abilities. ( ! )

Paladins

-Improved Righteous Fury: talent changed to also reduce all damage taken by 2/4/6% while Righteous Fury is active.
-Improved Divine Shield: talent renamed to Sacred Duty, talent now also increases the Paladin's stamina by 3/6%.
-Spell Warding: talent changed to now reduce all spell damage taken by the Paladin by 2/4%.
-Crusader Strike: cooldown increased to 10 seconds.
-Vengeance: damage bonus reduced to 10%.

Bug Fixes

-Enchants are now green again. (too bad! Loved the white stuff :) )
-Felguard no longer makes the succubus noise when summoned.
-Duel core processing bug fixed (yay)
-Map errors mentioned in 2.0.1 Patch notes Fixed.
-Zandalarian Hero Charm now properly uses its charges.

Items

-Netherwind Mantle now has the correct (Pre 2.0) graphic. (Swirly Balls)
-Idol of Ferocity and idol of Brutality changed. Now added damage to Maul and Swipe and Claw and Rip.

Professions

-Player can learn past 300 of secondary professions from books. (Purchasable in Outlands,
So Non-expansion owner can use them, but expansion owners need to buy them and put them on AH"
-Players require the expansion pack in order to get main professions past level 300.
New Armorsmithing Recipes: (learnable at Armorsmith Trainer)

hmm

Spell Warding: talent changed to now reduce all spell damage taken by the Paladin by 2/4%.

Whats the point?

If I read that right a lock hits me for 2k for example and I can reduce that dmg by 2 or 4%, whopeee

To answer the question in the subject: 2.0.3 is the latest version on the BC beta servers, so presumably they didn't see the need to inflict 2.0.2, an already superseded patch, on the PTRs.

True, but I guess combined with Improved Righteous Fury we're talking about a 10% reduction in dmg. So instead of 2000 he hits you for 1800 - okay, still not orgasmically wonderful, but I'm sure it'll help somewhere :)

Interesting. I wonder why the Aldor (and I presume the Scryers) have repeatable quests that stop at friendly? See, the act of allying with one of them automatically makes you friendly with them... :P

Maybe it's for if you decide you went the wrong way and want to switch allegiances...

If you want to change sides, you need that. And the quest that makes you friendly with the side you choose to ally with, was only added later. Originally alliance started friendly with Aldor and I think unfriendly with Scryers and vice versa for the horde. So you needed that turn in quest to get to friendly (especially mages for the portal trainer of the scryers before they added that neutral trainer).

With our latest patch, “Before the Storm”, we implemented most of the new talents which will carry over into the Burning Crusade ahead of schedule.

Because of these major changes to players’ talent trees we decided to provide all our players with a free respec.

At this time we plan to make some additional changes only to the Rogues’ and Druids’ talent trees, which effectively means that they will need an additional reset of their talents.

Therefore, since these two classes are currently the only two to be slated for such significant changes to be implemented they will be the only ones receiving an additional free respec.

Although it is not planned at this time, should we decide to make significant changes to any other classes’ talents, then we would more than likely provide them with a free respec also.
