Achiles vs Mount Kilimanjaro!!!

Post by Achiles » 20 Nov 2007 16:07

Hi folks,

Some of you know me, some of you do not. Regardless, I would like to take this oppurtunity and draw your attention to something I know you all know something about, be it something you saw on the news, something you saw on the internet, or even something you heard in passing....and that is the following:

Poverty, famine, H.I.V, lack of education, homelesness.

Well, I am trying to do what i can to help aleviate this problem for some, courtesy of the VSO (Voluntary Service Overseas).

The challange is simple...I am going to climb Mt Kilimanjaro next year, and all the money raised will go to help alleviate the aforementioned problems across the world.

If you wish to help me make the world a better place, or if you are just curious and would like to find out more, visit the following page:

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

ps. No this is not a scam, the charity is officialy registered. If you have any questions about the endeavour, or would just like to know more..feel free to send me a pm.

As i am free to give my opinion, here it goes :p

First of all i respect what you are about to do.

on the other hand i dont believe in that BLEEP "a brick doesnt build a castle but it helps" cause you need all BLEEP load of bricks to finish a castle and all these years its never enough and never will be, a reason why i for one dont do that kind of stuff and i also dont believe in charitys cause all those BLEEP drive is big ass cars, so the money that should have gone to those goals only a small piece will end up there. "known fact"

anyway i wish you good luck with the mountain :) and be carefull up there, otherwise i cant pwn you anymore :p
Don't micromanage my psychodamage.
