Watching Pandora Hearts at the moment. Weird series. Not the same kind of weird as Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei though :)

Before that I watched "Okusama wa Mahou Shoujo", which might not suit everyone, "Cinderella Boy" which was a tiny bit fun and "Karakuri Zoushi Ayatsuri Sakon" which was quite enjoyable. Started "Kaleido Star" but it seemed kind of boring. The Crime series "Himitsu - The Revelation" was very cool though. Check it out if you like psychological series :) A bit before that I watched "Ghost Stories", which was quite enjoyable.

Watched area 88, the ova and the anime.
The anime kinda sucked, the ova rocked (the ova is from 198X something and the anime was made 20XX).
Watch the ova!

You compare Zero no Tsukaima with Higurashi...?

Interesting series I watched was "Himawari", it's nice and amusing, and positive.

Well if you wanna see blood, i'd suggest Elfen lied if you havent already or/and Hellsing, I prefer Hellsing ultimate over the first 12 or so anime episodes, it just has better action and humour really ;).
Hellsing ultimate are OVA's (still in progress), though released at a painfully slow pace, like 6 or 7 out now and I think they started 2006/7. It's starts off about the same as the anime but takes a different route (longer and better).
As for funny stuff I can't realyl say I have seen anything particulary interesting recently except for Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei which is probably the funniest show i've ever seen :P though it's not like the humour in Zero no Tsukaima.
