Crysis 2

Post by MindyMcfly » 01 Apr 2011 09:05

Well finally cracked and bought it, mainly nagged by my son... have to say so far Im dissapointed. After the originals ground breaking graphics this poor console port looks bland.

Only had an hour on it so far, game plays ok I guess.

Only played 1, which is one of my 7 games that I have actually bought :) (Crysis+exp, Far cry, UT3, WoW, Rollcage, Warcraft3+FT and Starcraft 2)
Liked it, but once I was done I never touched it again. Even bought the expansion and got bored after 1 hour.
Since WoW introduced massive loading speeds I just don't like slow games that take ages to load. When I wanna play a game then I don't wanna waste ages so I can actually start, without the option to properly alt-tab. All those logo's in the beginning when you open the game make it even worse and it makes me lose interest.
Maybe I'll try this one in a few years when I have a new PC (with SSD) that loads it in a few secs :)
I enjoyed the graphics and the nano suit is well implemented. From what I saw of Crysis 2, it's not that much different.

Well finally finished it, really enjoyed it, despite the fact you could tell it'd been dumbed down for the console kids.

Not as impressive as Cysis, nothing will beat shooting a tree down onto an enemy hiding behind a rock.
