That's an epic demo. Looks very nice and it looks like we're getting rather close to detail that can almost not be distinguished from real.
Requires some hardcore videocard bundles right now, but it won't take too long before this can run on a common PC.
I wonder what the WoW experience would be like with such detail. Personally I'm very ok with the quality of the game and it doesn't need more realism. I still like playing Quake 3 with an engine that's over 10 years old too :)
The problem with such quality is also that it takes a lot more time to create the detail on the models, effects and animations. Even though it's possible, game makers have to spend much more time generating the graphics, making development more expensive and only doable by big companies.
