Magnets!

Post by Dust » 27 Aug 2011 23:47

I was recently interested in magnets, and I found a few cool things. Maybe I should buy a bunch of magnets and try to make something dangerous out of them :)

http://www.getbuckyballs.com/ - I so want to buy a few sets of those...
http://www.supermagnete.ch/ - They sell lots of different types, among them magnet balls that have a magnetic force of over 10kg. Good luck taking them appart :)

They also have a few cool application examples:

I do what I think is right. But I don't think that what I think is right can not be wrong.

I love magnets, fun stuff :) Wish I had the time and money for such cool projects.

I had the pleasure of playing with a bunch of bucky balls, gave my dad a set as a present after seeing Nanaki play with them. Very fun stuff, it's nice to make geometric shapes.
