Interesting:

I am not in the UK, so I can't test, but why the hell would the regime even consider to block unix user groups, civil liberties sites like the EFF or even Amnesty International?

In a porn filter?

They really don't even try to pretend that this is not politically motivated...
I do what I think is right. But I don't think that what I think is right can not be wrong.

The UK is one of the worst countries when it comes to censorship. They live in a so called free country but it's the most regulated, spied, watched, controlled and brainwashed country in the western world.
I love the Brits, the country is beautiful and their humor and TV shows rock, but this refrains me from ever wanting to move there.
Not that Holland is that much better.. we have a shitload of evil lobbyists who control what gets censored as well, and we have a NSA-like company, but I guess that's what living in a modern world means. I'll keep fighting censorship and government control in every way possible.
Why does porn get blocked? Why are so many harmless drugs illegal and is alcohol no problem at all? Why is there a 5 euro tax on a box of cigarettes? Why is fuel here the most expensive in the world? (after Norway and Turkey) And why does the government involve itself in so many things, wasting tax payers money, without anyone actually agreeing with that? It's theft in its purest form, and trickery at the highest level to make us believe it's ok.
I could go on and on about this, but luckily tech savvy users like us still know ways to not be tracked or to circumvent censorship. Keep thinking, don't take everything for granted.

It made me laugh blocking the pirate bay, 30 seconds later there's a proxy and another proxy... its a joke and a waste of everyone's time.

America is the worst place for censorship in the world right now, even to the extent that ISP's are trying to block things like NetFlix.
