First footsteps into Ulduar

Post by Cyberia » 17 Apr 2009 14:13

Our first tentative footsteps into an Ulduar resulted in the death of Flame Leviathan.

Despite a horrific server he fell at the first attempt. Dust's strategy seemed mainly to consist of running around like headless chickens until the boss fell over due to boredom. Its a strategy that seems to work and one we'll be sticking with. Unfortunately due to the server we only managed to extract one piece of loot from him.

Not headless chickens!

And it wasn't boredom that killed him, I think the corpses of our fallen companions clogged his gears. At least four survived the encounter... (I'll attach a screenshot later on...)

I find it very curious that only 1 of the 6 survivors is to be found on that top17 Recount list... even though I realise it's a very unusual fight of course :)

Either way, grats on getting him on the very first attempt...

Depending on the vehicle, the maximal damage output is limited. I had a bike, which was not the best dps vehicle. There were two other types, some kind of catapult, and a more tank like thing.

But bikes in turn can slow the boss, which is needed for the Siege Engines to survive longer. So bikes aren't useless :)
