List of Raiders from WoTLK

Post by MindyMcfly » 01 Nov 2013 12:06

I was clearing out some files and found an old list I used for arranging WoTLK raids.

Dust
Gyon
Kido
Carrwyn
Uzkael
Cyberia
Mindymcfly
Emy
Vírocana
Cendrius
Knix
Solarflare
Healess
Andre
Rooth
Seppel
Gurf
Rathil
Kyia
Holystefan
Ashwood
Evileye
Legenda
Redsorrow
Elthan
Teric
Sharkz
Xureon
Missil
Woodfist
Caleen
Warner
Nihari
Yelena
Polymoca

Not many on that list still playing and forgot how much work running a raid team was, LFR has deffo made me lazy.

It was fun, but doing the same thing over and over gets boring. I can understand why most stopped.
I do what I think is right. But I don't think that what I think is right can not be wrong.

I do miss that feeling of cracking a problem boss, Lady Vashj and Reliquary of Souls spring to mind.

I dont miss the heart ache of losing players to a "better" guild or another mmo. After finally killing Deathwing my soul was destroyed and I just couldnt face rebuilding another raid team.

I do have some interest in possibly doing the Flex thing on a Friday night, but I may need to sleep on that a bit more :P

My soul was destroyed long before we downed Twin Emperors after 700 tries. I think that might actually be the last raid boss I killed with TCW while i was still playing hardcore.
I do miss it though, even though I am gradually getting small bits of my soul back. I can't imagine what it's like to be raiding without wiping on every single boss out there with 40 people 30 times. Must be easy nowadays.

The top guilds had cleared Siege of Orgrimmar in the first two weeks and were on the heroic mode, raiding is not like it was in the old days.

You can gear up in LFR mode and make normal raiding less about gearing and more about the achievement points.

The worst idea was 10 & 25 raids on separate lockouts, people raided 7 days a week that was just stupid with people burning out quickly.

I do miss the social side, though, we had some great laughs

I'm still around... poke my head in occasionally into the forum. Have no intention of picking WoW up again which is a shame.

WoW is certainly easier for casual players these days, other than the 30min-1hr wait times for the LFR.

Good to hear from you Cyb :D

I'm not even on that list :)
I'm still reading the forum now and then. Missed the old day too altho I like the way my life is now, less hardcore gaming. But I can't seem to find a game where I want to put some effort in. Playing BF4, GW2 these days. After several months I'm finally maxed lvl in GW2 :p

My biggest addiction at the moment is Natural Selection 2 though I still play BF3, cant seem to justify the price for BF4. Still play WoW enough and since I get wow play cards for christmas/birthdays its still fairly free to me

If you want to add me on steam/origin let me know.

Is the D3 expansion anything more like D2? I loved D2, but for some reason I really got bored by D3 right away.
Not sure what it was, but I think it just lacked the simplicity and the loot frenzy of D2.
