My initial impressions are it is much quicker, above that I don't really care for many of the new features.

I'm curious why I did not get a notification for it (having registered for 3.0 and stuff). However, installing now!

They tend to do it in stages. Announce it quietly, announce with fanfare, announce in the browser, send out email reminders.

The mozilla site was brought to its knees when 3.0 came out .. I think they try to lessen the load on the servers by keeping advertising relatively low to start with.

They should think about bittorrent to distribute it.
