LINUX and XP Help! :)

ok, so i have been pulling at threads as to why my warcraft allways needs to be manually patched,
it can never connect to the servers for the patch - upon pressing 'download patch' it automaticaly logs me off and tells me its unable to patch.
so digging into the problem, i tried a simple task of trying to run the program as the administrator.
Problem being somehow im not, im the only 'user' yet not the admin :S
I cannot seem to get the admin account to even appear on the log in screen (Win XP)
and i do not know the password,
So, i downloaded and burnt onto a CD ophcrackLive CD, which runs a mini operating system on boot up, its a Linux as far as i know, and i gotta say, its pretty dam cool!
Turns out there is 5 accounts,

Is this normal? and if so, how the devil do i access admin?
I tried in cmd runnig it via netuser administrator active/:yes, even when it says sucsessful
there is still no trace!
So im looking at the possibility of wiping the whole dam thing and running either a version of XP that i can lay my hands on, or a linux, but i am a complete nub and only know of linux as an open source operating system!
but from what ive seen, im very impressed
any thoughts?
