Something about that graphics still strikes me as weird but I can't put a finger on it.

The graphics themselves look stunning, its the models of the faces which are just horrific.

Looks like much of the environment is low poly, but skinned to look 3d.

Yeah, like I said.. EQ2. :roll:

I actually downloaded that free trial of the new expansion (the one with the faeries) to see if they had improved the game much since last I saw it (which was sometime in 2005). My god, it looks like crap! Not to mention that the whole UI has a kind of vague feel to it, a lack of solidity. Gahh. I deleted every EQ2 file from my hard drive, so I'd never be tempted to log on again. 8)

Looking at those screens, I'll stick with WoW for the time being. Cartoony > play-doh realism.
