Hmm... while Qt on symbian S60 is tempting, that gives me a bad feeling. Maybe iPhone after all? But no keyboard... :(

Re: Mobile Phones
No keyboard on the iPhone you mean? It has a very good on screen keyboard. It's the easiest I've used. It even has what I'm calling "predictive spelling & grammar". I.E. It corrects spelling and gramatical errors on its own.Dust wrote:Maybe iPhone after all? But no keyboard...
P.S. This was done from my iPhone.

Hmm... I was more thinking about being able to easily interact with a remote host over ssh and maybe irc. Not sure how much screen space I'd have to sacrifice for that.
After calculating total cost of ownership of an iPhone, it seems to be between the e75 and the n97 with a 24 month contract, all around than 10% from each other. The contract seems to be more expensive than the hardware.

I have pTerm running on this thing. It works reasonably well. I even have an RDP client. While not brilliant on such a small screen, it works well enough for simple administrative tasks. I'm just waiting for the new Cisco VPN to be implemented at work, which I believe should work with this thing. Then no more exposing Terminal Services connections on public IPs.

Sounds good... :) I had a look at that app store thing, and there were quite some SSH Clients and IRC clients to chose from. And I guess I'll just pay the $99 for the dev tools so I can write my own apps.
