A Priest's Trip Over Ironforge Mountain

Post by Xureon » 03 Jan 2010 21:41

I made a little excursion on top of the mountains between Dun Morogh and Wetlands yesterday. At one point, Grumthorn said "take pictures", and then I got the idea to do exactly that and create a page like this :)

Here's the 1st, 5th and 28th image. Shift- or control-click one of them :)

That was really cool, thanks. Must give it a shot some day.

Aah yes the airport. one of the things blizzard didnt do anything with.
Just like the city under Ironforge, Old Ironforge. Were you could come in the past by spirit walking trough the big left door when you enter the kings hall, but later it wasnt possible anymore. After that you could come there with you chopper mount when you still jumped of it..
I think the tunnels at the airport would have connected with the tunnels there in Old If.

I remember going up there in vanilla, Ill have to dig out my screen shots. Also used to be able to jump up a wall in IF and be able to duel mages who could sheep you into Old Ironforge.

Never quite had the patience for the wall jumping into Hyjal though, gave up after 2 hrs. :|

I finally got to creating the follow-up, featuring the Dwarven Farm and more. Screenshots from the same day; just created the images and page only now.

I remember deuling a Troll on the 'White' part north-east of the airport.

There was nowhere to hide!

I wonder if they will make old IF accessable in Cata?
I woke up on the floor of some Japanese family's rec room, and they would NOT stop screaming.

Urgh...flashback. On top of that mountain was where the alliance between TCW and MM broke up (Joyma and me were discussing it there...the outcome is history).

And we mis-jumped and splattered halfway down to that harbor town on the other side :)
